A literacy Program that cares!

Did you know that 2 out of 3 students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Contra Costa County are reading below grade level?

Literacy Support

We partner with educators and reading specialists at local elementary schools to provide 1:1 literacy support for disadvantaged students who are behind in reading. We have certified educators who mentor our literacy team to ensure quality training. We also send books home with students through our weekend bag program and have fun reading challenges.

Family Support

We build relationship with the families of each student and provide support as needed. We have a weekend bag program, where each weekend we send home a duffle filled with books and various resources, including food, clothing, gift cards, encouraging letters and other beneficial items. We have partnered with the Mt. Diablo Unified School District Support Office for Access and Resources (SOAR) to identify families and students in need. 

School Support

We believe in our local schools, and also recognize how hard educators and administrators are working to care for students. We support school pantries, organize care packages for teachers and administrators, put on free soccer camps and provide support at school events.
